Donations

Your gifts make an impact.

While this park is owned by Buncombe County, it is completely built, funded and maintained by friends in our neighborhood. Your financial gifts help us buy mulch, put gas in the mower, pay for trash pick up, keep the port-a-potty clean and so much more. We are a non-profit (501C3) through our fiscal sponsor Asheville GreenWorks.

Make a one time donation or consider becoming a monthly donor at $10-$25/month and receive a free pavilion rental as our thank you to you for being a life-line for our park!

We also take checks! Checks can be made payable to “Asheville GreenWorks” with “Bent Creek Park” in the memo line. Mail checks to: Bent Creek Community Park 322 Donnybrook Drive Asheville NC 28806 Please add ‘For Bent Creek Community Park’ to the memo line to ensure that funds are credited to our park.

You will receive a letter of acknowledgment of your donation for your tax records from Asheville GreenWorks. Any questions please email: info@ashevillegreenworks.org.

Volunteer

We can move mountains together, but we gotta show up with a shovel.

Being a part of the Bent Creek neighborhood park means spending some time volunteering. We can’t do it without you. The park began as the Bent Creek Ranch, then an HOA supported club, then became overgrown in the late 1980s and 90s. In 2001, some visionary folks came together to clean up the park and build a playground. Everything you see at the park has been created, maintained, and cherished by local residents. You don’t need to live here to help out, though! We believe that just like play brings people together, so does some good old fashioned shovel and pitchfork work.

Projects the neighborhood has completed together:

Built a pavilion, pump track, garden, little free library, mud kitchen and playground. We have resurfaced the parking lot, moved mulch, planted trees, bushes, and flowers, painted a bike skills park, held fundraisers and yard sales, and much more.

Check the event page upcoming work events!

Future Projects
