Chili Cook-Off and Board Selections with Open Mic
Annual Chili Cook Off and Park Board Selections. Join us! Then stay to hear and participate in the Open Mic.
If you would like to enter the Chili Cook Off, bring your chili in a crock pot. Win the coveted BC Park trophy — the Golden Ladle — for Best Chili! Please have your chili there and plugged in by 5pm.
How it works: To vote, each person gets 3 beans to place in the cup by your favorite chili.
4pm -Arrive, get your chili and fixin’s set up
5pm -Chili Tasting Starts
6pm -Open Mic begins

Join us for a Fundraiser Concert in the Park with Asheville, Athens, and neighborhood bands! The Late Shifters and more! Gates 12 pm and music starts at 1 pm and ends @ 9:30 pm.
This is a fundraiser for our park. Big shout out to Nik and the Late Shifters for donating sound!

School’s Out! Slip and Slide Party
Slip-n-Slide your way into summer! And Ice Cream Social! Kids will love our huge slip and slide and wet and wild some summer water fun. We need baby soap and the park will provide the ice cold treats. Bring a chair or blanket too. Can’t wait to celebrate summer with you and your family! Free!

BC 3 X 3 Basketball Tournament
2nd Annual Bent Creek 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament.
4 players per team, double elimination, hoping to have multiple age brackets e.g. (6-9), (10-14), (15-39), (40+); but we’ll see how many people sign up!
All genders and skill levels welcome. Players should have a general knowledge of basketball rules. Please submit a team name, players' names with a captain for the team. Each team is to coordinate a color for the team and wear that color for the tournament.
Games start at 5pm weather permitting.
Please register so we can get an idea of who will be playing!
Registration will also be accepted day of. Hope you can join us!
Spring Fling
Join us for the annual BC Spring Fling! Bring your favorite Mexican dish to share. We’ll have activities for the kids including a bounce house, music on the speaker, and the 3v3 basketball tournament (youth and adult brackets) running at the same time. Hope to see you there!

Communal Garden Workday
Come help build the new community garden! Great opportunity for the kiddos to learn.
Egg Hunt
Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Everyone with a child participating please drop off a dozen filled eggs (no loose candy) to the park by 10 am that morning. There will be a box under the pavilion to drop off the night before as well. Kids under 4 will get a 2 min head start for the egg hunt. Potluck brunch shared after the hunt and the Easter Bunny will still be making an appearance!

Join your neighbors and park volunteers for our yearly spring work day! We'll have various projects for everyone to help with. * be sure to wear work gloves and bring pitch forks, wheel barrows and a great attitude.

Holiday Craft Fair, Caroling and Cookie Exchange + MOVIE
Come set up your booth to sell crafts, which make wonderful holiday gifts! Or bring a big batch of cookies to swap with friends and neighbors. This is always a favorite of our young crafting crew.
Then, choose to go caroling with other singers to bring cheer to the neighborhood. Bring your jingle bells and holiday spirit.
Movie “A Muppets Christmas Carol” will be shown on the lawn at 5:15 pm, weather permitting. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Thank you to the Graces for donating use of the movie screen and AV equipment!
Chili Cook-Off and Board Elections
Annual Chili Cook Off and Park Board Elections. Join us!
If you would like to enter the Chili Cook Off, bring your chili in a crock pot. Win the coveted BC Park trophy for Best Chili! Please have your chili there and plugged in by 5pm.
How it works: To vote, each person gets 1 bean to place in the cup by your favorite chili. At the food table, we ask everyone to kindly wear masks while serving food. Volunteers will be serving the chili tasting as well and helping.

Come out to the park for a great time with some pretty awesome neighbors! The event starts at 5pm and the potluck will begin at 6 pm sharp! We say this because the food goes fast, so try to get there by 6 with something delicious! We will also have music, lots of fun and games! This is one of the best events of the year, so don't miss out!
